REMEMBERING 9/11 - Painting and Poem

Do you remember where you were on 9/11?
I do!
Sitting by a hospitable bed
hoping Mom is not dead.
Watching others flee the fate
born in the soul of those who hate.

Do you remember the first responders?
Who now seem placed
in a second phase!
Police and firemen gave their lives:
from the blaze and fire
---Not one did hide.

Do you remember when faith restored,
men went through the Church's door?
They prayed to God up above:
Have mercy on us!
Please, teach us love.

Our leaders pledged "Never forget!"
and, yet!!! ---
We seem a Nation
falling apart.
Each day a hope ignites
in my heart.

I pray a vision our youth can grasp.
I pray they find true love at last.
And, seek the face of a God who lives:
A Father and Mother:
in life who gives.
Abba Father!
Kingdom living in Him.

Do you remember each day that comes
to thank the Breath that makes us one?
Do you?
I do? ---Sometimes.
I hope to say,
God bless America,
the USA!

One of a kind.
Established by men.
---They remembered!
The source of pleading,
they followed His leading.

Please remember from whence you've come.
Run the race now from the start:
Redeem your heart.

Do you remember?
