"THE UNVEILING"

Acrylic Painting by Rita Burton

30" x 40"

"....I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man; clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.  The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow.  His eyes were like a flame of fire, ...and his voice was like the roar of many waters.  In his right hand he held seven stars, ...and his face was like the sun shining in full strength."  Revelation 1: 12 - 16 esv.

Many years ago I encountered the Lord in a very dramatic awakening.  He appeared to me and spoke to me.  The words the Lord spoke were:  It is finished!   When I began to read the scriptures, I became startled to recognize how close to Jesus manifested to me fit the description by John.  Words cannot truely describe His Glory.  Jesus is pure light!  HIs voice was like "...the roar of many waters."  At the time I knew I was in the Presence of Jesus Christ.  I also recognized His authority and living power.  He is alive.  Jesus Christ truely is Lord!

CHOICES - From personal journal......

It is not always black or white; right or wrong.  It is always a matter of where you belong.  If you dwell in my heart, and, I dwell in you, I am compact :-) and travel with you wherever you go.

Yes, there is a purpose for your life, and, "that" you must believe.

Doubt and fear cannot hold the ground where "creativity" reigns the sphere.  Go! or Stay!  Be wise in display.  Heal!  Not, disrupt.  But, know in returning and rest, I will manifest the "Best."  ---Bursting forth.

New vision at the crest.  In Me you will find all that is "Divine" and sublime.  Be yourself!  Turn your eyes towards Me.  Seek my Face.  Find in Me all the grace you will ever need.

Create patterns that discipline.  Meet Me at the altar of your own heart.  ---Displayed in a studio.  Let it grow!  Grow into the vision.  Believe!  Receive!   Do not deter.  Nor, turn away from what has begun.  Momentum.  Run!

My response:  "Be Thou My Vision!"

Sketch taken from my personal journal.....

"Hold me close to You!"

During a worship video I watched, listened and worshipped.  Then I sketched.

NEAR THE SPRING GROWS THE BLACK IRIS! Painting & Poem

BLACK

"...there is a range of flowers, foliage and fruit that are thought of as black, ....  Included in these is Iris tuberose, the widow iris, with its brownish, blue-black flowers.....  There are others, of course, which make striking features in the garden, but none of them require the use of black pigment as each will show, on closer inspection, to be a mix of very dark pigments....."

BLACK IRIS

Near the spring grows the black Iris.

Enclosed around

the widow ground.

The mellow soil when all alone

In fields of sorrow's bliss.

Not empty of life,

nor budding miss.

Alone in self, yes,

 solitude that hides.

Away from close display.

Nor cares where others pace

and set.

The willows cover and breeze submit.

The Iris cares for only this:

Dew from Heaven.

The Beloved's Kiss!

Longing now in shadows blue,

the Iris Widow in soil with dew.

Not like other buds.

Nor, like other loves.

It stays rooted near the crystal spring.

Tis there with musk of passion,

and, fertile feed.

It waits for Heaven.

It plants its seed.

None notice the hidden hand that writes

of coves of wonder,

and, Glory Light.

The Iris Widow

out of sight.

Breathing splendor in speckles fall,

the reeds of Spirit

to one and all.

A bird, a gnat,

a flower now.

Black Iris takes

its final bow.

MENDED GLASS

Your life is like a stained glass window.
Tender love caressed each puzzle piece
In the fingers of Our God and High Priest....
Before time began
the vision did stand.
Cut and edge, polish blend"
Impregnate then.

The womb of Heaven descend!

Eden's realm a torrent stay.
We grow and love
And learn to play.
Blending rythmn to the end.
Along the way
The Master's Touch
does piece the parts
of a brokenheart.
Tis all there in the Master's lair.
He knew what needed
in Universe' bend:
A call for healing
where glass does mend.

The womb of Heaven ascend!

I received this poem Word this morning in my reading time. It goes with the painting:
MENDED GLASS. A "Rhema" call for "healing." "Amen!"

Later, I realized there also is a "Rhema" call for "Prayer."  As God lays His burdens in the womb of our hearts, we can pray His burden back to Him in  prayer that is known as Prophetic Prayer.
Thus, I changed the second line:  The womb of Heaven descend to "ascend."  Prayer!

TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE
Jetty Park, October, 2014
Soft Pastel Painting by Rita Burton

(Be sure to check out seven new postings on the left side of this page.  Paintings from Jetty Park.)

 CELEBRATING OUR ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND

Some of the favorite things: Hal and I love to go down by the sea. Often we walk marinas and think of buying our next live-a-board yacht. We imagine!

This weekend, we visited Jetty Park. We satisfied our soul by walking along the Ship Canal at Jetty Park; then walking across the fishing pier. It was a bustle with people fishing, picnicing, kayaking and hiding from the intense light of the sun. Then across the view, looking towards the south, we could see the many families enjoying the beach.

To make the day even more enjoyable, we took our chairs and a few cold drinks. Later, we found shade for ourselves and rested in our chairs.

It was our anniversary weekend celebration. Hal and I have been married 54 years. It was a good day.

AESOP ---ORACLE TO THE DISCERNING!

The Seer - painting by Rita Burton

THE LION AND THE EAGLE
An eagle stayed his flight, and entreated a Lion to make an alliance with him to their mutual advantage.  The Lion replied, "I have no objection, but you must excuse me for requiring you to find surety for your good faith, for how can I trust anyone as a friend, who is able to fly away from his bargain whenever he pleases?"

THE PRINCIPLE:  Try before you trust.

From: AESOP'S FABLES - Signiture Editions

Rita's Thoughts:  Friendship does not happen because of the words we speak.  True friendship is bonded by staying power and faithfulness.  In the hard places, when others walk away, a true friend remains by your side and loves you anyway.  ...with little gain to himself outside of the relationship.
